What is »Studienvertretung«?

Department representatives give advice to the freshers, organise Welcome Days and numerous courses for newcomers. Furthermore, department representatives work at various university committees and commissions.

Each StV has a particular budget at its disposal, which makes various projects and events for students a reality. Department representatives are independent and do not belong to any fractions or political parties. They work on a voluntary basis, however, volunteers can get credits for their work at OH in the form of ECTS points, student financial assistance of longer continuance or additional semesters. Working at ÖH, students get a chance to acquire unique knowledge and skills, meet active and committed people and broaden their minds.
